SILICON IN AGRICULTURE

SILICON is an element that exists in the earth’s crust with more than a quarter of the total weight and is the second most abundant element in the earth’s crust after oxygen.
Silicon is never in free state, but in some minerals such as quartz, feldspar, amethyst, flint, mica, jasper stone, and opal. Therefore, it is part of the rocks, granite, clay, generally biological and mineral elements, which constitute the soil in which agricultural crops are grown.
